Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the ChatGPT Session Saver browser extension handles information when you use it to save ChatGPT conversation sessions from your browser.

Information Collection and Use

ChatGPT Session Saver is designed to help you save your ChatGPT conversations locally. To provide this functionality, the extension may access the visible content of the active ChatGPT page only when you choose to save a session.

The extension does not send your conversation content to external servers, advertising networks, or analytics providers.

Optional Product Analytics

ChatGPT Session Saver may collect limited usage and diagnostic analytics only after you explicitly enable analytics in the extension. If you do not enable analytics, the extension does not send analytics requests.

When enabled, the extension uses a randomly generated persistent pseudonymous installation identifier and may send product events such as saves, job completion status, exports, recovery actions, and review interactions. These events help us understand how the extension works and where it can be improved.

Analytics events do not include conversation content, questions, answers, conversation URLs or IDs, search queries, DOM content, raw error messages, or stack traces. The extension sends opted-in analytics events to getmanov.com infrastructure hosted on Netlify, where approved events may be processed using Google Analytics 4.

Data Storage

Saved sessions are stored locally on your device using browser storage. getmanov.com does not receive or store your saved ChatGPT sessions. The telemetry endpoint validates and forwards opted-in analytics events; it does not write event request bodies to an application database.

Permissions

The extension may request browser permissions required for its core functionality:

  • activeTab: to access the active ChatGPT tab when you save a session.
  • scripting: to read page content needed for saving the current session.
  • storage: to store saved sessions locally in your browser.

User Control

You remain in control of your saved data and analytics preference. You can view or delete saved sessions from the extension interface or by clearing the extension's browser storage. You can disable analytics in the extension at any time; after you disable it, the extension stops sending analytics events.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your saved ChatGPT sessions or conversation content. If you enable analytics, limited product events are sent to getmanov.com and may be processed using Netlify and Google Analytics 4 as described above.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any updates will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
